Living Strong, Living Well is a small group program designed for adult cancer survivors who have recently become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. Classes meet 2 times a week for 12 weeks and are completely free. Advance registration is required.
The goals of this progarm are:
- To help patients build muscle mass and muscle strength.
- To increase flexibility and endurance, and improve functional ability.
- To reduce the severity of therapy side effects, preventing unwanted weight changes and improving energy levels and self esteem.
- To assist participants in developing their own physical fitness program so they can continue to practice a healthy lifestyle as a way of life.
