Pilates

Pilates mat and reformer introduction designed to empower cancer survivors.  Appropriate exercises, contraindicated movements and exercise modifications will be covered in class. 

Increased circulation and oxygenation will enhance muscular strengthening, coordination and balance, thus activating the healing process and rejuvenating both body and mind.

This exercise program will focus on:

  • Small group sessions with instructor
  • Pilates apparatus and mat exercises
  • Core stability
  • Strength training
  • Balance and flowing movements
  • Education materials provided for at home practice
