Oncology Social Work services are available to address the multitude of psychological, psychosocial, cultural, financial and continuing care needs of patients and their families. Oncology Social Workers facilitate adjustment to the life changes precipitated by illness, treatment and hospitalization.
In addition, Oncology Social Workers address compliance issues in order to promote effective use of health care services. Our patient population includes inpatients as well as many of the outpatient clinic programs.
Education, on various cancer related topics, is provided for patients, staff and for the community.

Social Workers are system experts and an integral part of the multidisciplinary team providing the following services:
